Which tool do I need?

Pick by what you are trying to do

• A form says the file is too big. If it gives one limit, use Compress to Size and type the number. If it gives a range such as 50–100 KB, use Photo 50 KB to 100 KB, which also raises a file that is too small.
• A form asks for exact pixels, such as 200 × 230. Crop to the right shape with the Image Cropper, then enter the pixels in the Image Resizer, then compress if there is a KB limit.
• You need a passport or visa photo. The Passport Photo Maker sets a plain background and the India, US or Schengen pixel size in one step. Our exam photo size list covers common exam forms.
• A website or email is slow because of photos. The Image Compressor handles a few files; the Bulk Compressor handles up to 100 and returns a ZIP.
• The photo is too small or blurry. The AI Image Upscaler enlarges up to 4×; the Blur Image Fixer sharpens at the same size; for a YouTube thumbnail, the Thumbnail Enhancer does both and exports 1280 × 720.
• You want a different background. For people, pets and products in a real scene, use the AI Background Remover, which can also make the background white, a colour or a blur. For a logo, signature or icon on white, the Remove White Background tool keeps fine lines sharper.
• An iPhone photo will not open or upload. Convert it with HEIC to JPG.
• You have several photos or scans to send as one file. Combine them with Image to PDF, then shrink the result with Compress PDF if needed.

Which format should I save in?

Use JPG for photos that go to forms, email or chat apps, because everything accepts it. Use PNG for logos, screenshots with text and anything that needs a transparent background. Use WebP for images on your own website, where it usually gives the smallest file at the same quality. Our comparison of PNG, JPG, WebP and AVIF explains the differences.

How these tools keep your photos private

Every tool on this page runs inside your web browser. When you choose a file, it is opened and processed on your own phone or computer; it is not sent to our servers. The AI tools download their model to your browser the first time you use them, which is why the first run can take a little longer, and later runs reuse the saved copy. The one exception is optional: if you sign in and choose to save an edit to your cloud history, that file is stored for you until it expires.

Because the work happens on your device, very large images or long PDFs can be slow on older phones. If a tool struggles, try a smaller image or a computer.
