How the PDF is built
The tool uses the jsPDF library in your browser. Each image you add becomes one page, in the order shown in the list, and you can add up to 20 PNG, JPG or WEBP images per PDF. The PDF library loads the first time you click Generate PDF, and the finished file downloads as images.pdf. Your images are not uploaded.
Page size and orientation, in detail
When you use Fit to image, leave Orientation on Auto. Forcing a direction can give a page shape that does not match the image, and part of the picture may fall outside the page.
- Fit to image: each page is exactly the size of its image, with no border. The page is measured at one point per pixel (a point is 1/72 of an inch), so a 3000-pixel-wide phone photo makes a page over a metre wide. That is fine for viewing on screen, but not what you want for printing.
- A4 and Letter: standard paper sizes. Each image is scaled to fit inside a 20-point margin (about 7 mm), centred, and never stretched, so the proportions stay correct.
- Orientation Auto: wide images get landscape pages and tall images get portrait pages. Choosing Portrait or Landscape forces every page the same way.
Getting the page order right
There is no drag-and-drop reordering. Pages follow the order in which files were added, and each row shows its page number. The order in which a browser hands over several files selected together depends on your system, so check the numbers before you generate. If the order is wrong, use Clear all and add the files one at a time, or in small groups, in the order you want. The cross on each row removes a single image, and Add more appends new ones at the end.

Keeping the PDF small
The tool does not compress your images. JPG photos are generally placed in the PDF as they are, so the PDF is usually about as large as the photos combined, and a set of full-size phone photos can easily run to many megabytes. If a portal limits the upload to 1 or 2 MB, shrink the images first: reduce their dimensions with the Image Resizer or their file size with Bulk Compress. You can also run the finished file through Compress PDF, which suits PDFs made from photos well.
Checklist before you generate
- Crop each scan to the edges of the page with the Crop tool, so no table or floor shows.
- Turn sideways pages upright with the Rotate tool.
- Choose A4 if the PDF will be printed or submitted to an office.
- Remove any image you added by mistake with the cross on its row.
- Convert iPhone HEIC photos first with HEIC to JPG.
- Open the downloaded PDF and check every page before you submit it.

Auto picks portrait or landscape for each page from its image's shape. Choose portrait or landscape instead if you want every page the same way round.
Can I add password protection or compression?
Password protection is not available. To make the finished PDF smaller, run it through the Compress PDF tool on this site, which works especially well on photo pages.
