When you use Image EditPro, we may collect the following types of information:

1.1 Personal Information

This includes information that can be used to identify you, such as:

Email address (if you contact us or create an account)
Name (if provided voluntarily)
IP address and browser information for analytics

1.2 Non-Personal Information

We collect anonymous usage data to improve our service:

Browser type and version
Operating system
Pages visited and time spent
Approximate geographic location (country level)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To provide and improve our image compression services
To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
To analyze usage patterns and improve our website
To send periodic emails (only if you explicitly opt-in)
To prevent fraud and ensure security

3. Data Processing and Storage

3.1 Image Processing

Image EditPro processes your images entirely in your browser. Your images are not uploaded to our servers. The only exception is opt-in cloud history: if you create a free account and click Save to cloud on a result, that one file is stored on our server so you can download it again, and it is deleted automatically when it expires (30 days). Nothing is stored unless you click save.

3.2 Cookies & Analytics

We use a small amount of browser storage in two categories:

Strictly necessary (always on): remembers your dark/light theme preference and your cookie consent choice itself. Stored in localStorage; never sent to a server.
Analytics (opt-in only): Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager. These scripts do not load unless you click Accept on the cookie banner that appears on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google.

You can change your decision any time by resetting your cookie preferences (the banner will reappear on the next page load).

3.3 Advertising

Image EditPro is free to use and has no paid plans. The site is funded by advertising, which we serve through Google AdSense.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. This includes the DoubleClick cookie, which lets Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
Third-party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits. Each has its own privacy policy.
We never share your uploaded images with advertisers — your images are processed entirely in your own browser and are never uploaded to us or to any ad network. See section 3.1.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown Google's consent message (a Google-certified consent management platform) and can choose whether their data is used for personalised ads. Our own cookie banner controls analytics only.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) lets you turn off personalised ads across Google's network.
aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu let you opt out of many third-party vendors at once.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services that collect information:

Google AdSense: For serving the ads that keep this site free (see section 3.3)
Google Analytics: For analyzing website usage
Google Sign-In: Only if you choose to log in with Google
Email providers: For replying to contact-form messages and account emails such as password resets

These third parties have their own privacy policies governing their use of information.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
Passwords stored only as one-way hashes
Access to personal data limited to the site operator

However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Opt-out of marketing communications
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

7. Visitors in the EEA and the UK (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, and the UK GDPR) gives you rights over your personal data. Image EditPro (Ashish Kathiriya, Surat, Gujarat, India) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

Lawful basis

Consent — analytics cookies (our cookie banner) and personalised advertising (Google's consent message). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Contract — running your account and cloud history if you create one.
Legitimate interests — keeping the site secure, preventing abuse of forms, and replying to messages you send us.

Your rights

Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it (portability)
Correct inaccurate data, or ask us to delete it
Object to, or ask us to restrict, processing based on legitimate interests
Withdraw consent for cookies and personalised ads at any time
Complain to your local data protection authority

How long we keep data

Images: not stored, except files you save to cloud history, which are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Account data: until you delete your account from the dashboard.
Contact-form messages: only as long as needed to answer you.

Personal data may be processed outside your country (for example in India and by Google). To use any of these rights, write to support@imageeditpro.in; we reply within 30 days.

8. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to:

Know which categories of personal information we collect (listed in section 1), why, and who we share them with (section 4)
Access, correct or delete your personal information
Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising
Not be treated differently for using these rights

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies set by Google may count as "sharing" under the CCPA. To opt out, turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, use a browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal, or email support@imageeditpro.in with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share".

9. Children's Privacy

Image EditPro is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on our website.
