Rules for each upload

Photo

  • Recent passport-style colour photo on a light, preferably white, background.
  • Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face; no harsh shadows or red-eye.
  • Glasses are allowed if there are no reflections and your eyes are clearly visible. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not accepted.
  • A live photo is also captured by webcam or phone during the application.

Signature

  • Sign on white paper with a black ink pen.
  • Do not sign in CAPITAL letters; it must match your signature at the exam.

Left thumb impression

  • Left thumb impression on white paper with black or blue ink.
  • If you have no left thumb, use the right thumb, then fingers — and state which one you used.

Handwritten declaration

  • Write in English in your own handwriting, on white paper with black ink, not in capital letters.
  • Text: "I, ______ (name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required."

Before you apply

  • Scan at 200 DPI or more, in colour, and save as JPG.
  • The application will not let you continue until each file meets these limits.
  • Your Class 10 certificate is uploaded separately as a PDF of up to 500 KB.

How to prepare and upload your IBPS files, step by step

  1. Open Annexure III of the notification you are applying under (CRP PO/MT-XVI or CRP Clerk-XVI). It lists the four IBPS uploads: photo, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration.
  2. Get a recent passport-style colour photo against a light, preferably white, background. Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face; leave out caps, hats and dark glasses, and avoid reflections if you wear spectacles.
  3. Use three separate sheets of white paper: sign on the first with a black ink pen, put your left thumb impression on the second in black or blue ink, and copy the declaration on the third in English, in your own handwriting, with black ink.
  4. Scan or photograph each sheet in colour at 200 DPI or more and save it as JPG.
  5. In the tool above, open the Photo tab and make the 200 × 230 px file (20–50 KB). Then do the Signature tab (140 × 60 px, 10–20 KB), the Left thumb impression tab (240 × 240 px, 20–50 KB) and the Handwritten declaration tab (800 × 400 px, 50–100 KB).
  6. For the three paper scans, tick "Make the paper pure white" so the ink stands out, and use zoom so the signature, thumb print or text fills the frame.
  7. Check that every result shows ✓ next to the file size, download it, and give each file a clear name so the declaration does not end up in the signature field.
  8. In the IBPS online application, upload each file in its own field and sit in good light for the live photo taken by webcam or phone. The form will not move on until every file meets its limit.
  9. Keep your Class 10 certificate ready as a separate PDF of up to 500 KB; it is not one of the four image uploads.

Why IBPS uploads get rejected — and how to fix each one

  • Signature written in CAPITAL letters. Fix: IBPS does not accept a capital-letter signature, because it has to match the way you sign at the exam. Sign in your normal running hand with black ink and make the file again.
  • Signature file below 10 KB or above 20 KB. Fix: Remake it in the Signature tab at 140 × 60 px. If a clean scan comes out too small, the tool adds blank metadata to reach 10 KB without changing the picture.
  • Declaration typed, written in capitals, or not in English. Fix: Write the exact wording from the notice by hand, in English, in your usual handwriting and in black ink, then save it at 800 × 400 px between 50 and 100 KB.
  • Thumb impression smudged, too faint, or from the wrong hand without explanation. Fix: Press the left thumb once on clean white paper with black or blue ink. Use the right thumb or fingers only if you have no left thumb, and state which one you used.
  • Photo with a cap, hat or dark glasses, or spectacles with glare. Fix: Retake it facing the camera on a light background; spectacles are fine only when your eyes are clearly visible with no reflection.
  • Photo outside 20–50 KB or not 200 × 230 px. Fix: Run it through the Photo tab, which sets the size and picks a JPEG quality that lands inside the range.
  • Scan saved in black and white or below 200 DPI. Fix: IBPS asks for colour scans at 200 DPI or more. Rescan in colour, then make each file again in the tool.

Frequently asked questions

What is the IBPS photo size in pixels?

The IBPS 2026 notifications give 200 × 230 pixels (preferred) and a file size of 20 KB to 50 KB, in JPG format.

What is the IBPS signature size?

140 × 60 pixels (preferred) and 10 KB to 20 KB, signed with black ink on white paper and not in capital letters.

What should the IBPS handwritten declaration say?

Write in English: "I, (your name), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required." Save it as 800 × 400 px, 50–100 KB.

Can I use my right thumb for the IBPS thumb impression?

Only if you do not have a left thumb. In that case the notification allows the right thumb, and after that the fingers, and you have to state which one you used.

Is the IBPS live photo the same as the uploaded photo?

No, they are two separate things. You upload a prepared photo of 200 × 230 px and 20–50 KB, and the application also captures a live photo with your webcam or phone while you apply.
